Instead of landing down with a thud my naughty baby has learnt how to sit back slowly. He's still on his way to perfecting it, but at least he's stop wailing once he gets bored of his standing position.
Midweek was also worrisome as my baby would hardly eat.He would refuse all solid food. The moment I would bring the spoon near his mouth ,he would just not open his mouth ..he starts nodding his head and refuses to eat.And I must say when he nods his head like that he looks super cute:) At times he would even push my hand and splatter the spoon making everything messy..patiently I wipe it off and try to offer him some food again....I tried all that I could...meal times have stretched from 20 minutes to an hour but not much would go down his throat :(
After a day ,I researched a lot....and found some possibilities:
Teething...yes my sweeties has two tiny ones, his gums may be sore and hurting..but that also means my baby is in pain :(
Bored of the flavour...not quite likely as I keep introducing new taste every now and then and try to make the food tasty:)
Wants to feed himself...possible as he tries to hold on to the spoon and keeps putting it in his mouth.I offer him another spoon to play with while I feed him.
Time for finger foods...This ones what I would be trying over as my baby also needs to switch from pureed food to mashed food now. Temporary solid strike phase...most likely reason , as I read that around 8 months , babies refuse to eat sold foods and would just like to go on with milk. I was worried about the nutrition but seems like milk is the major part of the diet till babies are a year old...
Hope he gets back on solids fast when I write back next week!
I gave my kids powder milk till they were one yr old. Doctor suggested to do so, so that they keep getting all the nutrition while they are experimenting with solids. I also mixed a few spoons of milk powder in their food. They loved the taste. Try it, it might work for you as well
ReplyDeletethanks for the suggestion...I am trying that as well!
